Setting the table was my nightly chore as a little girl, but it was never a “chore” in my eyes— I loved playing hostess and took the task quite seriously!
I would create theme nights, print out menus, and make my family dress up for the “occasions,” even if it was just my parents and brother on a school night.
For me, setting the table regardless of occasion was and still is an escape. It is a reflection of style and taste. Most importantly, it is a way to celebrate the people we love.
I founded Neon Lace Company in 2019 with a desire to lean into my true passions— textiles, antiques, and home entertaining. I studied Japanese dye techniques with a fourth generation dye master in Kyoto, Japan to refine my textile skills and use vintage materials sourced individually from antique linen suppliers all over the world. Our vintage pieces are hand dyed with love at my upstate New York atelier and I hope they encourage you to bring out your inner host.
